Study Update November 2, 2006

Posted by The Probabilist in : [News], Business, Consciousness, Studies , trackback

My second term at Hanken started this week so I decided to let you know what kind of articles to expect regarding my studies. Since all activities concerning my studies approximately take up about 30 % of my waking time it seems like a natural decision to add any interesting writings on this website as well - or at least subjectively perceived as interesting.

Unfortunately this term all of my courses are in Swedish, but hopefully I’ll be allowed to write individual assignments in English to spare me the effort of translation. Anyway, next up is Corporate Management, High-Growth Companies and the second half of Probability Theory, which is a two term course. In addition to that, last term I took two courses in English - Leadership and Multiple Perspectives of Entrepreneurship from which I have plenty of material waiting to be published over here. However, as stated earlier, I wish to maintain a somewhat balanced stream of information regarding everything I publish and try not to focus too much on my academic studies as content output.

On my spare time I’ve lately been researching and pondering about meditation, lucid dreaming, astral projection, polyphasic sleeping, psychic powers, distinguishing between objective and subjective reality, religion, life purpose, defining truth, life after death and personality types and traits.

Did I mention I’m an extremely rational and logical kind of guy? :)

It’s like every time I stumble upon something new and get the basics of it, a new path opens up - sometimes several. A part of me is telling to slow down and explore one subject deeply before moving over to the next one and then there’s the other part of my mind constantly craving for new knowledge and getting an overall picture first before choosing what to specifically explore deeper. Even my academic assignments have lately run an increasingly greater risk of using a personal standpoint rather than scientific and statistical references as data. Oh well, I’ll just label that as an occupational hazard for raising my level of consciousness.
