Website Launch October 23, 2006

This entry and date signifies the launch of TheProbabilist.com. While there is still minor tweaking to be done, the core structure, layout and functions are near completion. There are primarily about 70 different categories that I’ve considered writing about and they will be displayed along with the posts that deal with them. How many categories there ultimately will be is unknown. But as you may have noticed, all entries will belong to one of the four types/main categories - personal articles, link descriptions, book reviews or newsflashes.

Your main source of information at this early stage is the first version of the About page. No matter at what point in time you stumbled upon this website, be sure to check that out for further clarification about this site and its keeper. What schedule and posting rate I’ll maintain is still undetermined, but following my inspiration and intuition sounds like a good starting pace. Also, trying to keep a very multi-faceted approach is an objective I try to sustain in the beginning to really see what strikes the most chords. Be sure to choose a rating whenever and whatever you read on the site as the entries will be displayed in a descending order by rating on the four main category pages. It only takes a fraction of your time in comparison to the time used to write the entries.

Additionally, I decided not to promote this page anywhere yet. In time when there is quantitatively enough content, it will be done if there is a need or will. But since you are most welcome to share a link to this page anywhere, anytime to anyone maybe I’m not required to make that choice. Time will tell. Either way, if you find following me on this journey to be anything from neutral to totally exhilarating, bookmark the page and return another day. You are always equally sincerely welcome.
