Z-List February 7, 2007

Posted by The Probabilist in : [Links], Blogging , trackback

I stumbled upon a new blog phenomenon called Z-listing. The idea got started by Mack Collier and the object is to pass forward a list of blog links that builds up longer and longer for every new participant. I saw this list over at Make money on the net blog and added a few links to it to spread the link love.

The main object is to get more exposure for your blog and maybe get a higher page rank on the side. Let’s see how far this thing goes.

Here’s a list of pros for doing this:

A con may be that this link spreading goes too far out of control and it ends up as spam in some people’s eyes. It is suggested that you don’t add your own blog to the list, but let the people you link to to do that for you when they find out about your add. If you want to continue on with this, remember to add a .txt file with the links so that the bloggers you link to get the easy copy paste option of passing the idea forward.

Wow! I am on Z-List. I had not idea it even existed. Thanks for sharing.

I just found out about a free widget that allows self-submitting lists. Not sure it’s the right thing for Z-List but you might want to check it out anyway.
Here is where you get the widget >http://www.blenza.com/linkies/index.php
Here is where you can see it in action > http://wordlesswednesday.com/ww/
